2.4Gig Audio Return Link
This kit will return audio back from the camera to your over the shoulder or trolley setup.
The Transmitter fits onto the side of your Lectrosonics SR Camera link Receiver or hawkwoods plate.
We offer three cable options with our Audio Return Link.
Audio is returned as a stereo return or returning a mono mix with camera TimeCode to
utilize your new 552 Sound Devices auto recording capabilities or purely as a Timecode send unit.
Utilize your Sound Devices 552 mixer and 7-series recorders auto recording capabilities to the max with the new Ricsonix Camera Return Audio Link.
Note: This device can be subject to intereference from other 2.4gig sources.
This unit has 20 preset channels to help find an interference free channel.
There are 3 cable options available to you with our Tx/Rx kit.
1. Audio Return only - Included standard with kit 1
2. Audio and Timecode Return - Included standard with Kit 2
3. Timecode send only
- Included standard with Kit 3
1. Audio return only Sender.
This is a stereo return setup.
Left is returned on Ch1 and right is on Ch2.
The Transmitter wiring loom consists of a 5 Pin FXLR to a TA3F.
The 5FXLR connects to the
audio O/P of the camera being used.
We sell SMJ (Stereo mini jack) to TA3F for those using cameras with only a headphone out socket to return audio.
The Receiver wiring loom has a RASMJ to connect to the return socket on the mixer and the power connects to the receiver module.
2. The Audio and Timecode Return.
Audio returned in this configuration is a mono mix (L+R).
Timecode is returned on Ch1 and the mono mix returned on Ch2.
This Transmitter wiring loom has a R/A BNC conector to connect to the cameras Timecode output and the 5FXLR connects to the
audio O/P of the camera being used.
The Receiver wiring loom has a TA3F connector to connect to the Timecode I/P of the Sound Devices 552 mixer and a RASMJ which connects to the mixers return socket.
With auto record selected from the menu of the 552, the mixer will automatically begin to record when Timecode is detected from the camera.
Available from our accessories page is a TA3M to 5Pin LEMO adaptor cable to allow you to use this same setup with a 7-series Sound Devices recorder which also has auto record feature when timecode is sensed on the Timecode input.
3. Timecode only sender
With this setup, the user has the ability of using the Ricsonix return kit to send purely the Timecode from the cameras Timecode output back to their location.
The receiver cable is fitted with a TA3F which is standard for the 552 Timecode input.
Available from out accessories page, we sell adaptors to allow you to feed Timecode to the 7-series (5pin LEMO) or iPhone (4 pole connector SMJ) and utilise the reader Apps currently available
to show the TC from the camera.
DC Power
Power connection on our Transmitters and Receivers is via a 2.1mm BP connector.
It is the same power connection as used with Lectrosonics gear.
As most sound recordists have Lectrosonics power cables in their kit, we have decided to not include this cable to help keep the costs down.
Any current Lectrosonics power cables you have will work with our kits.
We can supply these cables as an accessory.
Available on our accessories page is a 9volt to 2.1mm DC cable which allows you to connect a 9volt battery to the receiver.
Please visit our accessories page.
